Product Description

Pe Pp Membrane Cold Construction For Wet Bathroom & Kitchen Base

Construction Notes for Polyethylene‑Polypropylene Waterproof Membrane

  1. Substrate can be damp but must be free of standing water. Make substrate solid and flat. Repair sanding, holes and cracks with cement‑sand mortar. Form R≥50 mm rounded corners at internal and external corners.
  2. Use special polymer‑cement adhesive only. Plain cement paste or ordinary glue shall not be used as substitute. Prepare adhesive for immediate use. Do not remix with water after initial setting.
  3. Adopt wet‑lay method with adhesive coated on both sides. Dry‑lay is forbidden. Squeeze air out from center outward during laying. Do not stretch membrane. Avoid hollowing and wrinkles.
  4. Long‑side lap ≥100 mm, short‑side lap ≥150 mm. Fill adhesive fully within lap joints. Stagger adjacent short‑side joints.
  5. Install same‑material additional layers at corners, post‑pouring belts, pipe roots and pile heads. Reinforcement shall not be omitted.
  6. Suitable working temperature: 5‑35℃. Stop construction in rainy weather, dew or ponding substrate.
  7. No walking or material stacking before adhesive is fully cured to prevent membrane damage.
  8. This membrane is not suitable for direct sun exposure. Construct protective layer promptly after waterproofing completion.
  9. Protect end laps at floor‑wall joint from contamination and damage to ensure reliable later lap connection with wall membrane.
  10. Carry out full inspection after completion. Fully repair hollowing, curling and damage. Proceed to next procedure only after concealed work acceptance.

Application Scope

  1. Indoor Construction: Waterproofing and moisture‑proofing for bathrooms, kitchens, balconies and wash rooms in residential buildings, apartments and hotels.
  2. Underground Works: Basement floor, basement exterior wall, underground garage, civil air‑defense project, pile heads, post‑pouring belts and construction joints.
  3. Roof Works: Non‑exposed roofs and covered green planting roofs. Membrane must be fully covered by protective layer; direct sunlight exposure is prohibited.
  4. Municipal & Hydraulic Works: Anti‑seepage for artificial lakes, landscape ponds, reservoirs, water channels, sewage ditches and septic tanks.
  5. Industrial Buildings: Waterproof and moisture‑proof treatment for factory floors, equipment rooms and warehouses.
  6. Other Applications: Utility tunnel lining, tunnel inner surface and covered basement roof.

Note: This membrane shall not be used for open exposed roof. Protective layer is required for UV protection.
