App Waterproof Membrane For High Temperature Region ConstructionConstruction Method of APP Modified Asphalt Waterproof Membrane

1. Base Treatment Clean floating dust, oil stains, sundries and sharp protrusions on the construction base surface, and remove loose and hollow parts to ensure the base is solid, flat and dry without ponding water. Repair holes and cracks, and polish internal and external corners and pipe roots into arc transitions. After the base surface passes inspection, apply a dedicated base primer evenly. Proceed with the next construction procedure only after the primer is completely dry.
2. Line Marking and Positioning Mark precise laying reference lines on the base surface according to the membrane specifications to confirm the laying direction and lap range. The standard lap width of both long and short sides shall be no less than 100mm to ensure straight, neat and uniform paving.
3. Membrane Pre-laying and Relaxation Lay the APP membrane flat on the base surface naturally to release internal stress generated during production, storage and transportation. Adjust the flatness properly to avoid arching, wrinkling and edge warping after construction.
4. Hot-melt Paving Heat the PE film on the bottom of the membrane evenly with a flame torch at a constant speed. When the PE film is completely melted and the asphalt surface shines and flows slightly, roll the membrane forward smoothly. Meanwhile, compact the membrane from the middle to both sides with a professional roller to exhaust internal air completely, achieving full adhesion without hollowing.
5. Lap and Edge Sealing Treatment Heat the overlapping area evenly to fully melt and overflow the asphalt, forming a continuous and full sealing edge. Scrape and compact the joints while hot with a scraper to ensure tight and firm laps without virtual adhesion, gaps or edge warping.
6. Node Reinforcement Treatment Lay additional waterproof layers in advance on vulnerable waterproof nodes including internal and external corners, pipe roots, wall-penetrating pipes, construction joints, post-casting zones and deformation joints to strengthen sealing performance and avoid nodal water leakage.
7. Quality Acceptance and Protective Layer Construction Conduct a comprehensive inspection on the overall construction quality after paving, ensuring no hollowing, cracking, edge warping or gaps. Carry out water closure or water sprinkling tests in accordance with specifications. Construct the protective layer in a timely manner after passing the test to prevent long-term exposure and damage of the waterproof layer.
