Application Method

1. Substrate Preparation: Clean the construction surface to keep it dry and free of dust, oil, rust and loose debris. Do not apply on wet or water‑logged surfaces.
2. Tape Cutting: Cut the butyl tape to required length and width according to gap size and working dimension.
3. Remove Release Liner: Peel off the protective release liner. Avoid touching the adhesive surface with hands to prevent dust contamination and adhesion reduction.
4. Application & Compaction: Align the tape with gaps or lap joints and lay flat. Roll repeatedly from center to both sides by hand or roller to exhaust air completely. Ensure full contact without bubbles or warping.
5. Lap Joint Treatment: Maintain lap width ≥3‑5 cm for tape‑to‑tape joints. Compact lap joints thoroughly to ensure continuous sealing.
6. Post‑application Protection: Avoid pulling force and sharp‑object puncture after installation. Avoid outdoor construction in rainy days. Prevent rain immersion within 24 hours after sticking.
