Waterproof And Anti Seepage Self Adhesive Membrane Roofing Modified Bitumen Material
Product Description
Self‑adhesive polymer‑modified bitumen waterproofing membrane is manufactured through composite process, using high‑grade petroleum bitumen as base material, blended with SBS polymer modifier and tackifying resin, and adopting long‑fiber polyester mat as reinforcement substrate. Its top surface can be covered with polyethylene film (PE), fine sand (S) or film‑free double‑sided self‑adhesive (D) release material, while the bottom surface is silicon‑coated release protective film. As a reinforced self‑adhesive modified bitumen waterproofing membrane, it requires no open‑flame torch melting and allows cold‑adhesive construction. It is widely applied in waterproofing and anti‑seepage projects such as non‑exposed roofs and basements of buildings. The product is classified into Type I and Type II. For polyester‑reinforced membrane of 2.0 mm thickness, only Type I is available. The standard width of the membrane is 1000 mm, with common thicknesses of 2.0 mm, 3.0 mm and 4.0 mm.
Product Features
Excellent Mechanical Properties: The polyester reinforcement substrate delivers high tensile strength, tear resistance and puncture resistance with high elongation. It can accommodate cracking and shrinkage deformation of substrates and features good fatigue resistance.
Reliable Self‑adhesion to Prevent Water Channeling: Modified bitumen compounded with tackifying resin provides strong initial adhesion for full tight bonding to substrates. The lap joints are bonded by self‑adhesion with service life consistent with the membrane itself, effectively avoiding water channeling underneath the waterproof layer.
Self‑healing Performance: When tiny gaps are caused by puncture or impact, the bitumen compound can self‑seal and repair. It possesses excellent nail‑shaft water‑tightness and reduces leakage risks.
Good High‑low Temperature Resistance: No flowing or slipping under high‑temperature conditions, and no cracking under low‑temperature environments. It is applicable for various climate zones including hot southern areas and cold northern areas.
Safe and Environment‑friendly Construction: Cold self‑adhesive construction without open‑flame heating eliminates fire hazards. Multiple construction methods including dry laying and wet laying are supported for easy operation and higher construction efficiency.
Scope of Application
Basement slabs, vertical basement walls, roofs, subways, civil air defense projects, tunnels, water tanks, wooden structures, color steel tiles, artificial lakes, etc.
Model & Specification
A. Products are classified by reinforcement substrate into non‑reinforced type (Type N) and polyester‑reinforced type (Type PY).
Type N is subdivided by top‑surface material into polyethylene film (PE), polyester film (PET), and film‑free double‑sided self‑adhesive (D).
Type PY is subdivided by top‑surface material into polyethylene film (PE), fine sand (S), and film‑free double‑sided self‑adhesive (D).
B. Products are divided into Type I and Type II according to performance. For Type PY membrane with thickness of 2.0 mm, only Type I is available.
