Tpo Waterproof Membranes Used For Moisture Protection And Seepage Control Of Reservoirs, Dams, And Canals.
Product Features
The most prominent advantage of this type of roll material is extremely strong long-term water immersion resistance. After years of long-term immersion in water the retention rates of its core properties such as tensile strength and elongation at break can still reach than 90%, and there will be no hydrolytic degradation. It has excellent tear resistance and puncture resistance, which can resist puncture damage caused by gravel and sharp debris in the base layer of water conservancy projects. At the same time, it can adapt the uneven settlement deformation of structures around the dam body and water body, and the waterproof layer will not tear due to displacement of the structure. The roll material has outstanding algae resistance and microbial corrosion resistance and it will not be attached and eroded by organisms even after long-term contact with eutrophic water bodies. The long-term stability of the anti-seage layer is far better than that of traditional asphalt-based waterproof materials.
Usage and Functions
Its core function is to provide a complete anti-seage barrier for the upstream face of reservoir dams, the inner walls of canals, the bodies of large-scale reservoirs, greatly reducing water seepage loss and improving the operational efficiency of water conservancy facilities For the anti-seepage reinforcement scenario of reservoir dams, it can be directly laid on the upstream face of the dam body to form a continuous anti-seepage layer, the seepage pressure of the dam body and enhancing the structural safety of the; For agricultural irrigation canal scenarios, it can effectively reduce the infiltration loss of canal water during and improve the water resource utilization efficiency; For drinking water reservoir scenarios, its chlorine and non-toxic characteristics will not cause secondary pollution to the water body and fully meet the protection requirements of drinking water storage facilities.
Construction Steps
1. Base Treatment: Completely clear all crushed stones and debris the base of the dam body and canal body. Use cement mortar to level poles and cracks, ensuring the overall slope of the base is smooth without sharp protrusions.
2.ion Layer Laying: Lay a layer of polyester non-woven fabric with a of not less than 200g/㎡ on the base as the cushion layer, and fix it with anchor nails to avoid direct contact between objects on the base and the waterproof membrane.
3. Membrane Laying: Unroll the thickened TPO membrane along the direction of the dam body or canal body, lay it on the cushion layer using loose lay method. Set the lap edge of the membrane along the water flow direction to avoid waterflow-resisting joint gaps.
4. Hot Air Welding: Use a high-power automatic hot air welder to handle the lap edges of the membrane, adopting the-weld welding process to ensure the effective fusion width of the weld seam is not less than 0mm. After welding, use a probe hook to check each weld seam one by one to eliminate void welding hazards
5. Anchoring Fixation: At the top of the dam body on membrane, bury the membrane into the pre-reserved anchor ditch and fix it with concrete pouring to prevent the membrane from being washed away water flow. Protective Layer Construction: Lay precast concrete slabs or cast cement mortar protective layer on the outer side of the waterproof layer to avoid long erosion and wear of the membrane by sediment and stones in water flow, extending the service life of the waterproof layer.
