Special Tpo Waterproof Membranes For Traffic Tunnels
Product Features
Its core function is to form a complete waterproof isolation layer the primary support and secondary lining of the tunnel, completely blocking the groundwater infiltrated from the surrounding rock, preventing water from seeping into the tunnel interior and ensuring the long-term dry operation of the traffic, power supply and communication facilities the tunnel. For mountain highway tunnel scenarios, it can resist the high water pressure seepage of the surrounding fissure water, prevent hidden dangers such as water seepage and ice hanging on the inner wall of the tunnel, and ensure driving safety in winter; subway tunnel scenarios, it can isolate the contact between groundwater and structural concrete, prevent groundwater from corroding the structural reinforcement of the subway extend the design service life of the tunnel, and reduce the leakage repair cost of operation and maintenance.

Construction Method
1. Base treatment: Level the surface of the shotcrete the tunnel primary support, cut off exposed anchor rod heads and rebar heads, fill uneven pits and sharp corners with mortar to ensure the base surface is relatively and free of sharp objects that may puncture the membrane.
2. Buffer layer laying: First lay a layer of high-density polyethylene (HDPE)otextile on the base as the buffer layer, fix it with plastic wash and nails with a gun. The lap width of the buffer layer shall be controlled at more than 20mm and fully cover the base surface.
3. Membrane laying: Unroll the TPO waterproof membrane along tunnel circumferential direction, and lay it on the surface of the buffer layer by the unbonded laying method. The lap edges of the membrane shall be from the positions of the structural construction joints of the tunnel to avoid the joints becoming leakage points.
4. Hot air welding: Use the tunnel-specific automatic hot air wel to perform double weld seam welding on the lap edges of the membrane. The effective welding width of the weld seam shall not be less than 15mm After welding, use a special probe hook to inspect the weld seam to ensure there are no cold joints or missing welds.
5 Fixation and protection: Fix the membrane surface with thermoplastic plastic spacers to avoid the membrane shifting during the secondary lining concrete pouring. pouring the secondary lining concrete subsequently, control the concrete placing rate to avoid sharp aggregates from directly impacting membrane and causing damage. Leakage Inspection: After the secondary lining concrete pouring is completed, conduct a comprehensive of the inner wall of the tunnel. Once leakage points are found, perform grouting repair in a timely manner. Complete the acceptance after confirming that the overall effect meets the standards.
